Progress report

The web site is progressing quite well now I have added;

  • the google map as an iFrame and it seem to be working well.
  • the link buttons in a table and some text to the content area.
  • 2 blocks containing links to the bottom section
  • the Wagga Firearms logo
Next I will be adding 2 more blocks to the top section with the adress etc.

I am having trouble positioning some of the blocks exactly where I wants them eg. centering the logo and spacing the bottom links.

Preparing to build the website

Now that I have my Drupal installed and my website design I can start building the website. To do this I am working through the Drupal Beginners Cookbook.

https://drupal.org/documentation/customization/tutorials/beginners-cookbook

I am also using the Drupal Site Building Guide as an additional resource during this stage of development.

Project Overview

This project is to implement the design I have created for the ‘Wagga Firearms’ website. This will involve setting up drupal on the web server and using the drupal CMS to create the webage. See attached design brief.

Stakeholders

Client: Andrew Butts (Wagga Firearms)
Mentor: Liam
Production Team:
·         Gerard Regan – CMS/design
·         Susan Fielding – Logo design
·         Serena –
Project Manager: Gerard Regan

Standards and Expectations

I expect the outcome to be a fully functional and professional looking webpage. I would like the web page to be live online by the due date.

Benefits and outcomes

I am doing this project to help a friend who has recently opened his own business. I hope to gain exposure and more web design work by completing this project. I will also build new skills in web design and development of the CMS.
